Hello everyone, my name is Tanya (pronounced as TAN-yuh) and I am the new Facial Specialist of Today's Images. I recently graduated from The Hollywood Institute of Beauty Careers in Orlando, Florida. I am passionate about the skin and how it works on the cellular level. My interests are hyperpigmentation, acne, anti-aging, and sensitive skin. I am also very adamant about protecting oneself from UVA and UVB sun rays.

I look forward to working with you towards your skin goals and hope you drop by soon!

You know...the #1 question I'm asked is: "Does it cost extra for ________?" Whether it be Deep Tissue, Reflexology or Hot Stone, my patients are still in the mindset that all massage therapists charge extra for anything outside of Swedish Massage.
Here's the deal: I may have to use more than one method to get stubborn knots to dissolve and get the relief each patient so desperately needs. So, I may start with Swedish for relaxation with some Aromatherapy, use Trigger Point therapy on the shoulders, some Kinesiology for increased range of motion and then finish with Reflexology on the feet to get all the meridians aligned. Phew!!! Sound expensive? Absolutely not.
My pricing is for the time spent in the room...not for what modality I incorporate into the massage. I may have a walk-in patient with only seven minutes to spare before heading to work with severe headache and only require a CranialSacral Release. Or, a patient that tried to remodel their house in one weekend and now I'm doing repair and relaxation work on fatigued muscles. Then again, a frozen shoulder that requires ice and Tui Na....etc... This is why I don't categorize my massages. Each massage is considered Therapeutic. And the price?
Same price, every time. $1 a minute. That's right only $1 a minute. Simple enough to understand...and no confusion when purchasing Gift Certificates for others. And massages can last anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours. (The majority are usually between 30-60 minutes.) So, call today and let's discuss which method will help you the most and get you on the books for your Therapeutic Massage!

Summer's Here!

Been busy so far this summer! Not breaking horses (or hip!)...however.....have been herding cattle for a friend! It feels good to be actively back on a horse! Stretching is important, and staying hydrated. More free time during summer stop in ask about the horses (the newest "Diva"...another rescue!) and the new grandbaby (Lil' Lea). And remember: Peppermint essential oil is excellent for muscle aches when you over work them!

Well!!! It has definitely been an interesting couple of months! Thankyou to everyone who visited the shop and contributed to my "recovery" fund. I promise to never try and break a horse (or hip) again! As most of my patients know...when I'm not masasaging humans...I'm working with rescued horses. I have had one (Whisky Sour) for about 6 years and he was about 2 years old when I got him. He has never been broken. And he still has not been broken; however; I have. The new hip is doing well and I'm back in business. Thank you again to everyone for your patience!!! To hear the whole story of "The Incident", stop in and book your massage and we'll discuss my "boys"!!!

I'm so looking forward to this new venture on the web! I studied and practiced massage in Orlando. My roots are in Highlands County though! I've been working in Avon Park for 4 years now. So, I'm taking the "Big Leap" into the World Wide Web! Heaven help us!!! I'll be posting more blogs when I become more comfortable with technology! Until then...give me a call to set up your appointment for YOUR massage! I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have or explain the art of massage!
